Robert “Brownie” Brown has poured his heart and soul into the Hoop Shoot. Since the program went national in 1972, Brown has only missed out on participating in one year—the very first one. He is still involved at nearly every level of the competition, from his Lodge contest in Rochester, Minnesota, to the Region 3 contest in Iowa City, Iowa.
Robert Brown was inducted into the Elks Hoop Shoot Hall of Fame in 2025.
